Sam A. LeBlanc was born in Paincourtville, La., and earned his law degree from Tulane University in 1908. He was state representative for Assumption Parish (1912-1916); judge of the 23rd Judicial District Court comprising Assumption, Ascension, and Saint James Parishes (1916-1928); judge of the First Circuit Court of Appeals (1928-1949); and associate justice of the Louisiana State Supreme Court (1949-1954). Samuel Albert LeBlanc was born on 29 August 1886 in Paincourtville, La. LeBlanc received his law degree from Tulane University in 1908 and practiced law in Napoleonville, La. until 1920. In 1910, he was appointed to the State Board of Education and also served in the La. House of Representatives.
